NOTE: Training is actually at Golden Fire Station 1 Training Room, next door to City Hall. Which part of the U.S. has the most IPAs? Or the most beers with the highest ABVs? Join us for the third SQL database class using 6+ years of Great American Beer Festival data. We will work together through some database concepts such as creating the schema, generating tables, executing some joins and relates and extraction and querying exercises. For those that have taken this class before don’t feel you’ve been there done that! In the first class we teased a PostgreSQL component and it is finally here! Prior experience with SQL (or beer for that matter) useful but not required. *Please BYOL (L=laptop) and prior to class install the following: SQL 2014 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53168 Grab the ReadMe.htm and depending on your machine: x86 file for 32-bit or x64 for 64-bit PostreSQL for Windows: https://www.enterprisedb.com/downloads/postgres-postgresql-downloads#windows *This is important as we will not be taking time to install during class. If you need assistance with the installation I am more than happy to help. Please contact me at email@example.com prior to class….preferable not the night before!
