The morning session will include traditional GPS/GNSS workflows as a lecture/instructional session followed by cloud based workflows and “shiny new objects” (handheld LiDAR, for example). One-on-one Q&A and/or troubleshooting specific issues and equipment will be included. Bring your own equipment, issues, questions, and ideas to share!
The afternoon session will tackle the challenge of sharing GIS data with contractors and other organizations when in the field by using Augmented Reality as a communication tool. Learn how to use the Argis Lens with an ArcGIS online account and the benefit of having field stakeholders instantly on the same page. Argis Solutions will provide tablets and GPS for the class to work in groups, but if you want to bring your own please email firstname.lastname@example.org so your access can be set up ahead of time.
Recommended : iPads 2017 iOS devices with AX9+ chipsets, Bluetooth GPS. A demo AGOL rest point will also be provided.
The classes dovetail in many areas so a full day of hands-on, practical data collection and communication for today and for the future is in the works. You don’t want to miss this one!
