This full day training will review the fundamentals of GIS Project Management oversight, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure, with specific focus on those components that make GIS projects uniquely challenging. This course is designed for new to intermediate-level project managers, although more experienced project managers will no doubt find it valuable as well.

Instructor: Frank Orr, Project Manager, Critigen
BIO: Frank Orr, GISP, PMP
Frank has been managing GIS projects and programs for over 15 years and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Along the way he has acquired real-world experience applying best-practice project management methodologies to GIS projects large and small. Frank is currently a Project Manager and Spatial Solutions Consultant at Critigen in Denver, CO. He received his MS in Geographic Information Science from the University of Denver where he also serves as an Adjunct Professor.
