About the instructor: Scott Trapolino attended Delta State University in Cleveland, MS, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in Geography and Political Science and a certificate in Geospatial Technologies. At Delta State University, he worked at the Center for Interdisciplinary Geospatial Information Technologies as Assistant Projects Manager/Instructor, where he assisted in the compilation of multiple GIS Needs Assessments and Implementation Plans. During the last eight years he has been working with DeSoto County local government where he provided geospatial solutions, created layers, designed databases, and implemented application development. In 2010, he established Everything is Somewhere LLC to provide support for municipal and county entities with GIS development in Mississippi.
Currently, Scott assists in managing Everything is Somewhere by recruiting talent, managing resources, solving complex spatial problems, assisting clients and the organization with implementing best practices for managing geospatial data solutions, and leveraging web GIS technologies. Along with 14 years of industry experience, he currently represents Mississippi as a board member for the Mississippi Association for Spatial Technologies, Memphis Area Geographic Information Council, and is the Mississippi Representative for the South-Central Arc Users Group.
