Listserv Move

The GIS Colorado listserv is moving. All of the great conversations, suggestions, and solutions will be archived and searchable in the new Google Group! The Listserv, as it is right now, will stop functioning beginning the evening of Thursday, August 6th and the new Google Group will be available for use the morning of Tuesday, August 11th. Any messages sent to the “old” listserve during this time will be lost in cyberspace. 😉 

We invite you to get yourself set up early with our new Group!

There are two ways to sign up: Use an existing Google account or create a new Google account.

Option 1: Use an existing Google account

 ...and if you are signed into your Google account, you should see a button for "Apply to join this group".

That’s it - you’re done! A welcome email will be sent by our Group managers.

Option 2: Create a new Google account 

Access to the new group DOES NOT require a Gmail email address, but it does require a Google account login. If you don't already have a Google account, you can go to google.com and click the sign in button, then on the sign in page click the "Create Account" link.

 Next, on the create account page, you can sign up with your current email by clicking the "Use my current email address instead" link:

Once you've logged in or signed up, you can go to this link ( https://groups.google.com/a/giscolorado.org/forum/?oldui=1#!forum/list ) to access the mailing list and click the "Apply to join group" button!

  That’s it - you’re done! A welcome email will be sent by our Group managers.

Raster GIS Data Management Specialist

Job description: The Raster Data Management Specialist will have primary responsibility for the full data lifecycle of raster, image, point cloud, and 3D data formats within the context of a large and complex enterprise geospatial environment.BLM’s geospatial operations are centered on the Esri suite of GIS and mapping software, but the BLM also employs numerous other specialized image processing packages including ERDAS Imagine, ENVI, Agisoft, PhotoScan Pro, Trimble eCognition, and others.

Senior GIS Analyst

GIS Specialist
