Rich Chamberlain

Dear GIS Colorado Membership: I would like to nominate myself for another term on your Board. I have been a board member since 2011 and have truly enjoyed my time working on your behalf. Since 2012 I have been membership chair and have worked hard to streamline and enhance our membership services. Besides membership chair duties, I have also coordinated a good handful of the quarterly membership meetings as well as assisted with the scoping of our website update and the maintenance and update of our membership database. But I would like to contribute even more and another term on the Board will help make this a reality. Here are some of my ideas to help make GIS Colorado an even stronger organization: • Continue to streamline membership services: Ensure our updated website allows members to easily pay and track their membership status. Provide documentation on your membership status to use for GISP certification. • Continue outreach efforts on behalf of GIS Colorado: Help to organize additional training opportunities. • Increase our membership base across all areas of Colorado: This will generate more revenue (per members’ dues) and will ensure continued support of scholarships, inexpensive training classes, and quarterly membership meetings. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to serving another term on your Board. Rich is GIS Practice Leader and Rocky Mountain Area Environment Business Development Team Lead for Water Resources at AECOM in Greenwood Village, Colorado. He has been with AECOM for 20 years and has been a member of GIS Colorado since 2004.
